Who qualifies for a Puerto Rico medical cannabis card?+

Any Puerto Rico resident 21 or older with a qualifying condition under Law 42-2017 (cancer, HIV/AIDS, glaucoma, epilepsy, chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, migraines, and others). Tourists who are US citizens also qualify for a 30-day permit.

How long does it take?+

Tourist permit: approved in 15 to 60 minutes once your application reaches the doctor. If you're already in Puerto Rico or arriving soon, we send it as soon as your payment is confirmed. Annual resident license: processed in 7 to 28 days.

I'm visiting in a few months — when should I apply?+

Apply now and give us your arrival date. We'll send your application to the doctor the day before you land so your 30 days line up with your trip. Once it's with the doctor, approval is usually within the hour.

What documents do I need?+

A clear photo of your government ID: driver's license, REAL ID, or passport (not expired). Residents also need a selfie for their ID card. Everything uploads from your phone in the form.

Why do you need my Social Security Number?+

The Puerto Rico Department of Health requires it to issue the card. We encrypt it with AES-256 before writing to our database, and neither we nor our hosting provider can read it without the key. No human ever sees your full SSN during processing.

How do I pay?+

Through secure online checkout. The fee covers application, coordination, and referral services; it does not cover the sale of cannabis or medical products.

How do I track my application status?+

After submitting, you get a confirmation email with a personal link to check status anytime. Bookmark it. We also email you when your card is approved.

Where can I use my card?+

The official card issued by the Puerto Rico Department of Health is accepted at licensed dispensaries in Puerto Rico. Save it on your phone or print it for presentation when needed.

What happens when my license expires?+

We email you a reminder 30 days before expiration with a one-click renew link. Tourist permits last 30 days; resident licenses last 1 year.

What if I lose my card?+

Email [email protected] with your reference ID and we'll resend it. You don't need to reapply.

Is my information safe?+

Yes. Your SSN is encrypted before storage. Photos live in a private bucket accessed only via 1-hour signed links. We never sell or share your data. See our privacy policy for details.
