By using medcardpr.com, you accept these terms of service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Nature of the service
medcardpr.com provides application, coordination, and referral services for Puerto Rico medical cannabis card and tourist permit applications. We are NOT a physician, healthcare provider, dispensary, pharmacy, marketplace, delivery service, or the Department of Health. We coordinate documentation and scheduling between you and an independent certifying physician who makes the final clinical decision on your application.
Eligibility
To use the service you must: (1) be 21 years of age or older; (2) if a tourist, be a US citizen; (3) have a qualifying medical condition under Puerto Rico Law 42-2017; (4) provide truthful and accurate information. Falsifying information is grounds for rejection and may have legal consequences.
Payments and refunds
The tourist permit service costs $99.99 (tax included). The resident license service costs $99.99 (tax included). Express resident review costs $179.99 (tax included). These fees cover application, coordination, and referral services. They do not purchase cannabis, THC, CBD, or any physical product, and they do not guarantee approval. Final approval depends on the certifying physician and, when applicable, the Department of Health. If the physician or the Department of Health denies your application, we refund 100% of what you paid. Approved applications are non-refundable: you receive your permit by email the moment it is issued. We also refund verified cases of an accidental double payment made within the same week.
Applicable taxes (Puerto Rico IVU)
Listed prices are final: any applicable Puerto Rico Sales and Use Tax (IVU) is already included. No tax or additional charge is added when you confirm payment. The price you see is the price you pay.
Renewals
No renewal is charged automatically unless you expressly authorize it. Before your license expires we send you an email reminder, and renewing is a new transaction that you initiate. If you did authorize automatic annual renewal at any point, we notify you by email at least 7 days in advance with the date and the amount, and you can cancel it at any time by writing to [email protected].
Processing timeframes
Tourist permits are generally approved within one hour of receiving payment. Resident licenses are processed in 7 to 28 days. These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by the certifying physician, the Department of Health, or circumstances outside our control.
Acceptable use
You may not: (1) use the service to obtain a card for another person without their explicit authorization; (2) attempt to access the administrative panel or other restricted systems; (3) use automated means to submit applications; (4) interfere with the operation of the service.
No medical guarantees
We do not provide medical advice. The decision about whether medical cannabis is appropriate for your condition is made by the certifying physician. If you have medical questions, consult with a healthcare professional.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

We may update these terms occasionally. The current version will always be available on this page.
